What I'm doing now
A genuine snapshot of where my focus is right now: what I'm building, what I'm studying, and what I chose to pause so I can handle the rest.
Work & infrastructure
- High-density Linux server operations: daily hands-on administration of shared and dedicated hosting environments (Debian, RHEL, AlmaLinux, cPanel/WHM, Apache, Nginx, and PHP-FPM).
- Incident response & forensics: on-call emergency containment of compromised web applications, surgical eradication of webshells, and disaster recovery.
- Infrastructure automation: continuous authoring of operational runbooks and automations with Bash, Python, and Ansible to eliminate repetitive manual interventions.
- Defensive hardening: kernel sysctl tuning, SSH audit benchmarks, firewalls, and WAF protection (CSF/LFD, ModSecurity, nftables, CrowdSec).
Studies & certifications
- Cyber Defense degree: undergraduate studies in Cyber Defense at Wyden (expected completion: 2028), focusing on traffic analysis, offensive/defensive architectures, and governance.
- Linux Foundation & DevSecOps: hands-on continuous training through Implementing DevSecOps (LFS262) and secure CI/CD pipeline labs.
- Cloud architecture: deepening container orchestration practices with Docker and Podman across hybrid environments.
Building & lab
- NEXUS ecosystem: autonomous task orchestrator for local and remote technical AI agents using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), integrating telemetry and forensic tooling.
- Open-source utilities: maintaining and refining LinTriage (automated forensic collection) and EncFind (obfuscated PHP and webshell scanner).
- Containment test lab: isolated sandbox for reproducing web exploits under controlled conditions, validating WAF rules, and debugging kernel behavior under stress.
Life & beyond code
- Animal rescue care: daily care and dedication to the 28+ rescued cats under my guardianship, providing quality nutrition, shelter, and continuous veterinary care.
- Physical training & discipline: consistent daily strength training and walking routine in Fortaleza to sustain mental sharpness and composure during high-pressure incidents.
- Remote life in Fortaleza: operating 100% remotely while maintaining a grounded balance between operational duty, research, and family time.
What I've chosen not to do for now
- I am not taking on freelance projects or consulting requests outside my primary expertise in Linux systems administration, web hosting, and emergency incident response.
- I do not maintain an active presence on noisy social feeds. My primary professional communication channels remain email, GitHub, and LinkedIn.
- I am not starting new commercial projects without first delivering the planned milestones across current lab initiatives.

What is a now page?
This public page is inspired by the global movement created by Derek Sivers. It serves as an honest, running answer to the question: "What are you working on and thinking about right now?", offering a transparent declaration of focus rather than a static profile.
