Technical summary

ZenDev (zendev.com.br) was a personal portal of web tools for OSINT, cybersecurity, networking and development: more than 45 direct-query utilities organized by area (domains, e-mail, security, WordPress, networks, cybersecurity and design), editorial content sections and an own API under /api/ consumed by the pages. It ran on PHP + MySQL behind NGINX with a dedicated rules file (rules.conf); the local version was ported to Apache by converting the pretty URLs to .htaccess (mod_rewrite). The project was discontinued — its spiritual successor is the KAGIN project, currently being built in its place.

Executed scope

  • Domains: whois (with direct URL parameter), dnsinfo, dig, expired domains, DNS propagation check and checkdns.
  • E-mail: email header analyzer, DNSBL blacklist lookup, MX check and mxlookup.
  • Security: password generator/analyzer, bcrypt, MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL hashes and NTLM.
  • WordPress: theme/plugin listing, toolbar detection and snippet libraries (shortcodes, htaccess, filters, actions).
  • Networks: ipcalc, my IP, ping, nslookup, reverse lookup, IP country (via embedded MaxMind GeoLite2) and traceroute.
  • Cybersecurity/OSINT: subdomain finder, IP history with own cache, Google dork generator, port scanner, port check, icon enumeration, HTTP header inspection, CORS test, heatmap, DNS TTL lookup and vcheck.
  • Design: color palette generator and hex-to-rgba converter with value via URL.
  • Internal API (/api/): JSON endpoints (whois, ip-history, scan, expired) powering the pages without reloads; NGINX routing (try_files + named location) faithfully converted to Apache .htaccess with [QSA] preserving query strings.
  • Editorial content: per-area content pages (domain, network, security, cybersec, wordpress, design, mail).
  • Project publicly versioned on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license.

Stack and tools

  • PHP 8 + MySQL
  • Apache (mod_rewrite) — original production on NGINX (rules.conf)
  • Composer (dependencies)
  • MaxMind GeoLite2 Country (embedded .mmdb database)
  • JavaScript/jQuery on tool frontends

Operational outcome

  • Stable portal with 45+ tools in production for years, own API and pretty URLs.
  • NGINX → Apache portability documented and applied without route loss (52/52 URLs working).
  • Project canceled: KAGIN takes its place as the next generation of the idea, with a more modern architecture.

Real results

Web tools portal for OSINT, cybersecurity, networking and development with 45+ direct-query utilities (whois, DNS, port scan, headers, passwords and hashes, dork generator, traceroute), content sections per area and its own API under /api/ — originally served by NGINX with dedicated rules and later ported to Apache via mod_rewrite. Discontinued: succeeded by the KAGIN project.
